A geologist from the University of Concepción, he has over 15 years of experience in exploration, resource evaluation, and geological consulting. His background includes key technical roles at Codelco, BHP, and CEMIN, leading campaigns and technical evaluations in some of Chile's most important mining districts.

At Thorus, Julio is responsible for the geological evaluation of acquisition opportunities, geological due diligence processes, target generation, and resource validation. His specialty is ensuring that exploration potential and resource estimates are accurately analyzed to support well-informed investment decisions.

Julio is also involved in the identification and evaluation of innovative geological technologies that enhance efficiency and reduce uncertainty in exploration campaigns.
