Juan Carlos holds a degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Santiago de Chile and has more than three decades of experience in operations, business development, and organizational transformation.

He has held leadership positions in medium-scale mining companies, including General Management at CEMIN Holding Minero and Compañía Minera San Gerónimo, where he led operational restructuring processes and efficiency initiatives that ensured profitability during challenging market cycles.

He currently serves as Director of Compañía Minera Carmen Bajo, bringing a proven track record and experience in operational optimization, stakeholder engagement, and sustainable growth strategies.

At Thorus, Juan Carlos leads the operational analysis of M&A opportunities and the identification of technical improvements based on the incorporation of new technologies.
